Advanced Material Trex Enterprises is applying its patented chemical vapor composite (CVC SiC™) technology to the production of ultra high purity silicon carbide parts for use in demanding environments and applications. Our technology allows us to produce unusually shaped parts that retain strength and heat resistance and exceptionally lightweight mirrors for demanding applications. The material is chemically pure, thermally stable, and mechanically stiff. It is used in semiconductor wafer processing equipment, optical systems, ballistic applications, high temperature (up to 3600oF) applications, and other harsh and/or corrosive environments. The material has been proven stable under cryogenic conditions.
