Trex Enterprises is a pioneer in free space communications technologies with more than a decade of research, development and product manufacturing. The current Loea 2500 is based on millimeter-wave technology and is the first wireless product to deliver at 1 Gbps data rates. Additionally, Trex performed the first long range laser communications experiment in 1998 in Hawaii. During this demonstration, communications and data were transmitted over a 150 km path length. More recently, Trex has demonstrated laser communications at White Sands Missile Range over a 50 km path length with complete acquisition and tracking capabilities.
